Hot100 Updates War Of Words Over Gas For Gove

The Darwin Pulse

A war of words continues to rage between Chief Minister Terry Mills and Opposition Leader Delia Lawrie over the gas for Gove project.

Yesterday Mr Mills revealed a letter written by the then Chief Minister Paul Henderson in July of 2012 that the Government could not guarantee to pacific Aluminium a 10 year gas supply to Gove to keep their refinery operating.

Ms Lawrie has responded saying Mr Mills deliberately left out other content from the letter including page 2 which specified that further gas reserves could be made available upon strict conditions.

Mr Mills held talks with key stakeholders of the Gas for Gove proposal yesterday, and a response is is expected at some stage today
