As school holidays begin to wind up, NT Police have revealed a 33% drop in property related offences in Katherine during the Christmas and school holiday period.
Historically, during the wet season, there is an increase in the number of people travelling to the Katherine Region from outlying communities creating an increase in alcohol related offences, anti-social behaviour and property related offences.
37 people have been arrested so far as part of a special Wet Season Operation in Katherine.
