Hot100 Updates Boost In Mosqutito Numbers Risk To Health

Territorians are being encouraged to cover up to avoid contracting mosquito born diseases.


Large tidal movement and increased rainfall has resulted in a boost in salt marsh mosquitoes which can carry Ross River and Barmah Forest Virus.


Simply measures such as making sure backyards are free of places where water can pool, such as pot plant drip trays, and palm fronds, will eliminate the risk of homes becoming a breeding ground for the mozzies.
