Hot100 Updates ATM Attacker Avoids Conviction

A 22 year old man that damaged an ATM after it failed to dispense his cash avoided a conviction in the Darwin Magistrates Court yesterday.


Matt Kennedy was drinking with friends on Mitchell Street when he attempted to withdraw cash out of an ATM, but when the machine failed to dispense his money he became frustrated and punched at the ATM causing the glass screen to smash.


Mr Kennedy was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond and paid $780 in compensation.
