Today marks the 71st anniversary since the bombing of Darwin.
The air-raids by Japanese forces during World War 2 killed at least 243, between 300 and 400 people were injured and much of Darwin’s civil and military infrastructure was destroyed
Commemoration ceremonies will take place at The Cenotaph on The Esplanade and at Stokes Hill Wharf to mark the occasion, both commencing at 9:30am.
