Hot100 Updates Cheaper Beer?
Territorians could soon be paying less for beer as Beverage Company Lion Nathan reveals it over estimated the cost of the Container Deposit Scheme in the NT.
In a letter to NT Wholesalers Lion Nathan said ‘Because Redemption Rates of The CDS are lower than expected, they have recalibrated pricing and will be reducing the wholesale cost per case in line with current redemption rates.
Independent Member for the Seat of Nelson, Gerry Wood, believes the letter is proof Territorians were being ripped off by beverage companies as a direct result if the CDS.

Hot100 Updates Tipamantamerri Cleared To Play In Semi-Final
Tiwi Bombers Captain Shane Tipuamantamerri has been cleared of his one match ban for his front-on tackle of Southern Districts player Dean Staunton.
The one match ban would’ve meant Tiaupmantamerri would have missed the semi-final match against Saint Marys this Saturday, but an early guilty plea reduced the penalty to a reprimand, meaning he is free to play this Saturday.
Tomorrow night’s tribunal will see Saint Mary’s utility Xavier Clarke face charges and a possible 4 match ban for using forceful front-on contact on Dean Staunton in a round 18 game earlier this month.

Hot100 Updates Where Are The Hostels Promised?
Country Liberals Senator for the Northern Territory, Nigel Scullion, believes the Federal Governments Indigenous Hostels Program is a failure after evidence shows The Hostel in Wadeye is only half full.
The program put in place by the Rudd Government in 2008 promised it would build school hostels with a total of 152 beds in the remote Indigenous Communities of Wadeye, Garrthalala, and Yuendumu.
Mr Scullion said to date, only one of the 3 hostels promised have been delivered.
