A pilot has had a lucky escape after he reported problems with the landing gear of a Cessna 210 aircraft over Ramingining at around 6:00pm yesterday.
Northern Territory Police Watch Commander Greg Pusterla said the pilot had the land the aircraft of its undercarriage.
"The aircraft only had the pilot aboard and was able to land the plane on its belly on the airstrip. Police (and) clinic attended and made some enquiries of the pilot but no injuries."
An investigation will now take place by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
