Scott White heads into the Lady Daley Hotel Spring Nationals this weekend in Adelaide sitting in fourth place in the 2012-13 ANDRA Pro Stock Motorcycle championship.
After four rounds in the championship, White’s best finish this season so far was at the Nitro Champs where he qualified second, held Top Speed in qualifying and went out in the semi finals.
His nearest rival is Victorian Glenn Wooster. The pair has been battling it out all year with White currently holding a narrow three-point lead over Wooster, who sits in fifth.
It all began at the Nationals last November when Wooster finished on a three-point lead over White. Round two of the championship moved to Adelaide in February and saw the pair move up the ladder two spots into 5th and 6th with White closing the gap to just one point. Round 3 was the Nitro Champs in May and this saw White move ahead of Wooster into fourth, up two places. Round 4 was the Winternationals and White was confident to extend his gap even further. However rained stopped eliminations, and with qualifying points earned, the pair remained locked.
“That was how we also qualified (4th and 5th) at Willowbank,” said White. Both riders ran side-by-side identical ETs of 7.449 with White recording the higher speed.
